The Finance Side – When, How, and Extra Bits on Payments

8.1 Laying Down the Payment Ground Rules:

8.1.1 Upfront and Clear:
To keep things moving seamlessly, we ask for payment in advance of your service date. You can kick things off with a deposit, but remember, the balance needs to be settled before our team leaves your premises. And for those big moves beyond the hustle and bustle of London, whether elsewhere in the UK or overseas, we’ll need the full payment in advance via bank transfer.

8.1.1.1 Special Services Require Special Attention:
Using a ferry or another add-on service? Kindly cover that cost when you book.

8.1.2 Flexible Payment Methods:
We’re flexible, whether it’s a bank transfer before we start, a swipe of your Visa or Mastercard, or a debit card transaction.

8.1.3 Your Card on File:
By sharing your card details, you’re giving us a green light:

8.1.3.1 To bill the move’s total amount on the day unless you’ve already settled by transfer or cash.

8.1.3.2 To automatically tackle any post-move extras like box pickups or those unfortunate parking fines.

8.2 Delays in Payments – The Ripple Effects:

8.2.1 Stay in Touch:
Ghosting us post-move? Each outreach attempt – letter, email, or call – will come with a £15.00 admin fee.

8.2.2 Late Fees:
Missed the due date? A 12.5% interest, compounded daily, will be applied to the overdue amount.

8.2.3 Oversight Charges:
If, for some reason, we’ve missed billing you for the full amount, we’ll notify you and charge the outstanding balance to your card.

8.2.4 Service Satisfaction & Payment:
We’ll need the payment on a moving day even if things weren’t 100% to your liking. But worry not; we have a streamlined claims process you can follow afterwards.

8.2.5 Payment Collections:
Missed the 72-hour post-move window to clear dues? Our collection team will step in, along with their fees.

8.3 The Extra Bits – Additional Charges:

8.3.1 Unforeseen Delays:
Delays not caused by us, like missing keys or pending house cleaning, will incur £60 per hour/van (£1 per minute). If you’re moving beyond the M25, that rises to £90.00 per hour/van.

8.3.2 Dynamic Add-ons:
Other charges that arise on the move day will be communicated and applied accordingly.

8.3.3 Post-Move Box Pickups:
If boxes aren’t ready for collection as agreed or are damaged, there’ll be a £120.00 charge.
