The M25 Group content moderation program is intended to help us make informed decisions about the actions users of our platform take and the content we will allow (and not allow) on our platform. It also helps us live up to our core values and principles as a company.
As with all online communities, users may have differing opinions and experiences. As a result, you may find ideas that you disagree with.
We try to be as fair as we can when moderating, but there will always be some people that will not be happy with our moderation policies. While we regret that this happens, we cannot suit all of the people and have to make decisions based on what is best for the community overall.
Our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) prohibits use of M25 Group Services with content or in a manner that promotes, encourages, or facilitates: illegal activity, hate speech, violence, or discrimination based on race, colour, religion or creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, veteran status, genetic information and citizenship.
In Jan 2021, we updated our AUP to add sexual orientation, marital status, gender or identity expression, parental status and any/or other characteristics protected by law.
In July 2021, we went a step further and clarified that organisations or individuals who promote, encourage, or facilitate hate speech, violence, or discrimination, either through their content or through the distribution of user-generated content, are forbidden from using the M25 Group Service, regardless of whether the M25 Group Service is explicitly used for the prohibited activities. We do this to protect our customers, our employees and our reputation.
Our content moderation program enables us to identify, undertake regular reviews and, where necessary, take action if M25 group users violate these restrictions in our AUP. To support this policy we have developed a series of content policies and guidelines to ensure we are enforcing our AUP in a uniform way across our entire client base.
We rely on our content moderation program to help us identify, review, and take action when M25 Group users violate these restrictions in our AUP. As part of this program, we’ve developed an internal content policy and guidelines to help us ensure we’re enforcing our AUP equitably and uniformly across our entire customer base. In addition, we’ve also created our own A-team of content moderators which includes a carefully selected and diverse range of leaders from across different functions of the M25 group. Actually, they prefer to be called our multi-member Content Review Committee (CRC). This carefully selected team is responsible for reviewing reports about M25 Group users who engage in these activities and determining what actions to take.
Please note this policy does not supplant the AUP or address other violations of the AUP – for example, we will still take action against illegal content, spammers, those abusing our platform, pornography, etc., under separate processes and guidelines.
Complaints regarding M25 Group users may originate from our employees, our customers or partners, or by anyone from the public. You may report content violations to us by sending an email to content@M25group.co.uk, or by filling out our content moderation submission form.
We will review every complaint and respond on a case by case basis in a way we deem suitable for the circumstances.
