5.1 The Off-Limits List:
Sometimes, there are items we’d rather not handle – not because we don’t want to help, but because they either pose certain risks or are just out of our scope. So, unless you’ve got a written agreement from one of our higher-ups (like a director or another authorized company rep), please refrain from including the following in your moving stash:
5.1.1 The Risky Stuff:
Items that could be harmful, illegal, or downright explosive! This includes stolen or prohibited items, drugs, explicit materials, and anything potentially dangerous like gas bottles, aerosols, paints, firearms & ammo.
5.1.2 The Precious Bits:
We’re talking about jewellery, watches, precious stones or metals, money, deeds, securities, bonds, tickets, stamps, coins, or any collections of a similar kind.
5.1.3 Pesky Pests:
Anything that might attract unwanted guests, like vermin or pests, or cause infestations.
5.1.4 Time-Sensitive Items:
Perishable goods or those that need a specific environment to stay intact.
5.1.5 Our Furry and Feathery Friends:
Animals, birds, or fish. They deserve specialized care!
5.1.6 The Red Tape Goods:
Anything that needs special licenses or permissions from the government for moving in or out.
5.2 The Small Print:
On the off chance we agree to handle any of these items, please understand our liability for any loss or damage is pretty limited unless, of course, we goof up. If any of these items sneak into your shipment without our knowledge, we’ll set them aside for you to collect. If they aren’t picked up in a reasonable timeframe, we might have to get a court order to decide what to do with them. And, unfortunately, any charges, damages, legal fees, or penalties that come from this? Those would be on you.
Conclusion:
Every item has its place, and sometimes, that place isn’t in our moving van. Keep the above in mind, and let’s ensure a smooth move!
