Just a little heads-up before we go over this super important matter: there are some items we like to treat with extra special care by not moving them at all! This includes your dazzling jewellery, top-notch watches, precious stones or metals, all-important money, tickets for those can’t-miss events, valuable stamps, collector’s dream coins, or any kind of prized collection. And let’s not forget about those indispensable gadgets like tablets, laptops, or mobile phones and their electronic buddies.
For these treasures, we hand the packing and moving reins over to you. It’s your chance to give them the VIP treatment they deserve on moving day.
3. Maximum Liability Clarification:
For the avoidance of doubt and to ensure absolute clarity between M25 Systems LTD and our valued clients, it’s important to underscore the provisions of section 3 regarding our liability for claims:
- 3.1.1 Fixed Liability Limit: Regardless of the actual value of any single item, M25 Systems LTD’s maximum liability for damage to, or loss of, any item will not exceed £500.00. This applies even if the item’s value surpasses this amount.
- 3.1.2 Requirement for Declaration: Clients who possess items valued over £500.00 and wish for these to be moved must notify us in advance of the move. This notification allows us to discuss and potentially arrange for additional coverage options outside M25 policies, but more importantly, the transportation of it/them
- 3.1.3 Claims Limitation: With prior notification and agreement on additional coverage, our liability per item can be stretched to £3500.00; consequently, claims for amounts exceeding this limit will, regrettably, be declined, irrespective of the item’s actual value.
3.2 Special Handling for High-Value Items:
At M25 Systems LTD, we recognize that certain possessions are not only monetarily valuable but often hold irreplaceable sentimental value. To ensure the utmost care and security for items valued over £500, we implement special handling procedures, which may include advanced wrapping, packing, crating, and dedicated attention during transportation.
- 9.6.1 Handling Fee for High-Value Items: Due to the additional resources, materials, and time required to manage the transportation of high-value items properly, a handling fee will be applied. This fee is calculated at £15 for every £1,000 of the item’s valuation.
For example, an item valued at £10,000 will incur a handling fee of £150. - 9.6.2 Notification Requirement: To ensure your high-value items receive the specialized care they deserve, we ask that you notify us in advance of your move. This allows us to prepare the necessary materials and allocate sufficient time to handle these items according to their needs.
- 9.6.3 Liability Limitation: It’s important to note that while this special handling aims to provide additional protection, our maximum liability terms, as outlined in section 3.1.1, still apply. We encourage clients to consider arranging separate insurance coverage for items of exceptional value.
Conclusion:
Our team is committed to providing the highest level of service and protection for all your items. When it comes to high-value items requiring special handling, we will work closely with you to ensure that we understand the item’s specific needs and your expectations. This collaborative approach helps us to plan and execute the move with the precision and care your belongings warrant.
