We strongly recommend that you pack and transport these items yourself. This gives you full control and ensures they get the personal care they deserve on moving day.
3. Maximum Liability Clarification
To ensure absolute clarity between M25 Movers and our clients, we’d like to clearly outline the provisions of section 3 regarding liability for loss or damage:
3.1.1 Fixed Liability Limit
Regardless of the actual value of any single item, M25 Movers’s maximum liability is capped at £500.00 per move. This applies even if the item’s value exceeds this amount.
3.1.2 Requirement for Declaration
If you have any item valued above £500.00, you must notify us before the move. We can then agree on additional protective measures — such as crating or separate handling — though this will not increase the liability limit.
3.1.3 Claims Limitation
With prior notification and written agreement, our liability can be extended up to £2,500.00 per item. Any claim exceeding this threshold will, unfortunately, be declined — even if the item is worth more.
3.2 Special Handling for High-Value Items
At M25 Systems LTD, we understand that some items carry not just monetary, but also personal or sentimental value. To safeguard these items, we offer special handling procedures, which may include enhanced packing, crating, and extra attention during loading and delivery.
9.6.1 Handling Fee for High-Value Items
Due to the materials, care, and time involved, a handling fee applies: £25 for every £1,000 of declared value.
Example: An item valued at £10,000 would incur a handling fee of £250.
9.6.2 Notification Requirement
Please notify us in advance of any high-value items. This allows us to plan the right equipment, packing, and schedule.
9.6.3 Liability Limitation
Even with special handling, our maximum liability remains £500 (or £2,500 if pre-approved). We strongly encourage clients to arrange separate insurance for anything of exceptional value.
