For our commercial clients, clarity around payment terms ensures a seamless transition. This section, particularly focused on commercial engagements, outlines our expectations regarding payment timelines and methods. Should any information here contradict other sections, these terms will prevail.
4.1 Advance Payments:
When we agree that payment will be made in advance, we need to have the full payment in our accounts three working days before the move is scheduled. For those last-minute bookings, full payment is due within one working day from the booking date, and always before we commence the move. Failure to meet these payment terms gives us the right to cancel the move under our standard cancellation policy.
4.2 Standard Payment Terms:
If you’re not under an advance payment agreement with us, all invoices generated from our services need to be settled within twenty-eight days. Late payments will incur interest at a rate of 12.5% per month.
- 4.3 Detailed Payment Conditions:
- 4.3.1 External Services: Payments for any external services, like ferries, are due at the time of booking.
- 4.3.2 Post-Move Charges: Any additional charges incurred post-move, such as parking fines during box collection, will be billed separately.
4.5 Consequences of Late Payment:
- 4.5.1 Administration Charge: A £15.00 fee will be applied each time we attempt to contact you regarding overdue payments.
- 4.5.2 Interest: Overdue amounts will attract an interest rate of 12.5% per month, calculated daily.
- 4.5.3 Updated Invoices: Should there be any discrepancy in payment, either from our side or yours, we’ll issue an updated invoice, which will require immediate settlement.
- 4.5.4 Claims Process: Dissatisfaction with our service does not exempt you from fulfilling your payment obligations. Our claims process is available should you wish to raise a concern.
- 4.5.6 Debt Recovery: Failure to clear the full payment within 48 hours of the due date will lead to your case being forwarded to our payment collection team, who will then reach out to discuss their charges.
4.6 Additional Charges:
- 4.6.1 Waiting Time: Delays caused by factors beyond our control will incur a charge of £60 per hour per van or £1 per minute. For moves outside the M25, this charge increases to £90.00 per hour per van.
- 4.6.2 Crates and Boxes: Unprepared or damaged crates at the scheduled pickup time will attract a £120.00 fee.
- 4.6.3 Dynamic Add-ons: Other charges that arise on the move day will be communicated and applied accordingly.
