Summary:
Commercial moves run on discipline — including payments. These terms override all others where money is concerned.
The Terms:
4.1 Advance Payments
-
If full payment is required in advance, cleared funds must be in our account at least 3 working days before the move.
-
For last-minute bookings, full payment is due within 1 working day of booking and always before we commence work.
-
Failure to meet these deadlines gives us the right to cancel under our standard cancellation policy.
4.2 Standard Payment Terms
-
Unless agreed otherwise, all invoices must be settled within 28 days of the invoice date.
-
Overdue balances attract interest at 12.5% per month, calculated daily.
4.3 Specific Payment Conditions
-
External Services: Costs for external providers (e.g., ferries) must be paid at the time of booking.
-
Post-Move Charges: Any costs incurred after the move (e.g., parking fines, crate collections) will be invoiced separately and are payable immediately.
4.4 Consequences of Late Payment
-
Administration Fee: £15.00 each time we chase overdue payments.
-
Interest: 12.5% per month, calculated daily, until full settlement.
-
Updated Invoices: Any payment discrepancies will be corrected with a new invoice, due immediately.
-
Claims Process: Service complaints do not suspend payment obligations. Claims must be raised through our formal process.
-
Debt Recovery: If payment is not made within 48 hours of the due date, the debt will be referred to our collections team, with their additional charges added to your balance.
4.5 Additional Charges
-
Waiting Time: £60 per hour per van (or £1 per minute). Outside the M25, £90 per hour per van.
-
Crates and Boxes: £120 charge if crates are unprepared, damaged, or missing at scheduled pickup.
-
Dynamic Add-Ons: Any other unforeseen charges on the day (e.g., access restrictions, extra labour) will be applied as required and confirmed with your site contact.
Conclusion:
Paying us on time isn’t optional — it’s part of the deal. Clear payments mean clear moves. Fail to follow these terms, and we stop moving boxes and start moving numbers.
