Introduction:
We take the utmost care in handling and storing your belongings, but we understand that accidents or unforeseen events may occur. To ensure transparency, here’s how we handle liability for damages and the claims process.
Liability Terms:
- No Inventory, No Claim: To process any claims, an approved and verified inventory must be in place at the time of storage. Items not listed on an inventory are ineligible for claims.
- Coverage Limitations: Liability is limited to damages directly caused by M25 Storage while the items are in our care. We are not responsible for damages caused by improper packing, natural deterioration, or external factors beyond our control.
- Inspection Upon Storage: Clients are encouraged to verify the condition of items upon placement into storage. Disputes regarding pre-existing conditions will not be accepted after storage commencement.
Claim Process:
- Report the Issue: Notify our team immediately if you believe an item has been damaged while in storage. Claims must be made within 7 days of retrieval.
- Submit Documentation: Provide a copy of your inventory, photographs of the damage, and a description of the item’s condition before storage.
- Assessment & Resolution: Our team will review the claim, compare it to the documented inventory, and determine the appropriate resolution based on our liability policy.
Exclusions:
- Items stored without an inventory.
- Fragile or perishable items not properly packed.
- Damage due to natural wear and tear, pests, mold, or temperature fluctuations.
- High-value items (e.g., jewellery, cash, fine art) unless explicitly declared and insured.
Conclusion:
Our goal is to keep your belongings safe, and we take our responsibility seriously. A verified inventory ensures fairness in claims and helps protect your stored goods. Have questions or need guidance on creating a thorough inventory? Our team is happy to assist! ⚖️📜
